The tube belt conveyor is developed from the ordinary flat belt conveyor. The structure of the head and tail, as well as the driving tension, is the same as that of a regular belt conveyor, with the difference being the middle part: the flat belt is rolled into a circular tube through countless sets of six rollers to completely wrap the transported loose materials, avoiding material scattering, drifting, or being exposed to rain, external pollution, etc., also known as a tubular belt conveyor, abbreviated as a "pipe belt conveyor". In addition to the performance advantages of ordinary belt conveyors, there are also more prominent features that can transport various loose materials: powder with a particle size of less than 100mm, odorous materials, etc. Currently, it is widely used in industries such as steel, building materials, papermaking, grain, salt making, and chemical engineering, as well as in scenarios such as mines and bulk cargo terminals.

The biggest feature is that in a closed state, materials and conveying lines can be arranged along spatial curves, and the minimum curvature radius in the horizontal and vertical planes does not exceed 300 times the pipe diameter; It can be transported at a large inclination angle, with a maximum of 30 °. For materials with poor fluidity, the inclination angle can also increase or even reach 90 °. This feature is important for conveying materials to high places. It can reduce the conveying length, save space and location, and reduce equipment costs. Typical materials transported include various aggregates, ores, coal coke, limestone, crushed stone, oil shale, and sintered mixtures. Some very difficult to handle materials, such as clay, waste residue, concrete, metal waste residue, fly ash, tailings, bauxite, and filter dust, can also be transported using a tubular belt conveyor.
