From May 11 to 13, 2024, the "2024 General Meeting and Council of Belt Conveyor Branch of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association" hosted by Libo Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd. was held at the foot of Mount Taishan. The theme of this conference is "Climbing the Peak without Stopping", focusing on the high-end, intelligent, and green transformation and acceleration of the belt conveyor industry, and proposing 7 sub conference development tasks. More than 300 people, including leaders from the Tai'an Municipal Government, experts, scholars, and representatives of entrepreneurs in the belt conveyor industry, attended the conference.

The meeting was chaired by Zhang Rongjian, Secretary General of the Belt Conveyor Branch of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association.
At the meeting, Yuan Jiudang, Vice Chairman of the Tai'an Municipal Political Consultative Conference, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He introduced the business environment of Tai'an City and the development of the mining machinery and engineering machinery industry in Tai'an City. He welcomed the attending entrepreneurs to cooperate and exchange ideas with enterprises in Tai'an City to jointly promote the development of the industry.
Jing Xiaobo, Executive Vice Chairman of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, fully affirmed the work of the branch over the past year. He put forward seven suggestions for the work of the branch: enhancing political standing, strengthening scientific exploration, forging ahead with innovation, strengthening standard guidance, actively participating in standard formulation and revision, strengthening the construction of integrity system, strengthening international exchange and cooperation, going global and introducing talents, strengthening the construction of talent team, providing four services (government, members, industry and society), and playing a role as a bridge and link.
Wang Jisheng, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, delivered a report on the development and prospects of the heavy machinery industry. He introduced the overall operation of the heavy machinery industry in 2023, and provided suggestions on how industry enterprises can achieve high-quality development from the aspects of national strategy, market opportunities, industry chain security, industry pain points, and key areas that need attention in industry development.
Professor Zhang Yuan, Vice Chairman of Libo Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a welcome speech and gave a conference report. She expressed her sincerest gratitude to the leaders, directors, and all friends who care about and support the development of Libo Enterprise of China Heavy Machinery Association. At the meeting, Sun Shanjin, Chairman of Shandong Shankuang Machinery Co., Ltd., reported on the situation of the 11th Second Council Meeting. Li Ping, Chairman of the Belt Conveyor Branch, conducted a comprehensive review of the branch's work in 2023 and identified the key tasks for the association's next steps. Executive Deputy Secretary General Yang Jun reported on the financial work of the branch in 2023.
In the special report section, Su Buxin, the Business Director of Metallurgical Industry Press, gave a speech on "The New Journey of High Quality Development in the Steel Industry", deeply analyzing the challenges and opportunities currently faced by the steel industry. Wang Zhixiong, Assistant Secretary General and Department Director of the Machinery Industry Technology Development Foundation and the Machinery Industry Energy Conservation and Resource Utilization Center, interpreted the "National Industrial Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Technology Equipment Selection and Promotion Policy". Dr. Chen Hang from Liaoning University of Engineering and Technology gave a report on the macro and micro mechanical properties and energy consumption mechanism of steel wire rope core rubber conveyor belts, providing in-depth interpretation and research sharing on the energy consumption mechanism and energy-saving technology of rubber conveyor belts.
During the conference exchange and discussion session, representatives from Shandong Xinkaite Bearing Co., Ltd., Shandong Xiangtong Rubber and Plastic Technology Co., Ltd., Zhonglin Group Engineering Design and Research Co., Ltd., Beijing Midas Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Zhongte Hydraulic Transmission Machinery Co., Ltd. and other enterprises shared their latest research results and application cases in the field of belt conveyors.
In addition, during the conference, Zhang Yanjun, Deputy Secretary General of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, read out the "Decision on Hiring Technical Experts in Belt Conveyor Machinery" and presided over the issuance of the appointment letter.
After the meeting, all attending representatives visited the Libo Heavy Industry Manufacturing Base of Libo Group and the production base of Shandong Ouruian Electric Co., Ltd.
