On March 16th, focusing on the theme of deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, the 16th China Industry University Research Cooperation Innovation Conference, hosted by the China Association for the Promotion of Industry University Research Cooperation, was held in Beijing. More than a thousand representatives from the front line of government industry university research cooperation across the country attended the conference.

Lu Yongxiang, former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a written speech to the conference. Wan Gang, former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, delivered a speech.
Wan Gang has three expectations for the industry university research community: firstly, to continuously enhance the ability of independent innovation, allowing scientists and entrepreneurs to work together in both directions, and guiding the collaborative research and development of original, leading, and disruptive technologies.
